Dried Flower Love
Make 18 Inspiring Projects for Your Home

I have always found flowers inspiring for my own creative practice. Not just within themselves, but also developmental thoughts - what could be done with them? Can I grow them? How to dry them? In fact….which ones DO dry?
Within this book, Jost provides a simplistic list highlighting all the ones we cab in fact dry successfully. (page 14-19) She is a well known florist, so she has the life experience to provide us with an accurate text.
Then we learn the tools required, before leading us through numerous well illustrated projects (eighteen in total, covering the beginners to those with more experience), spanning from wreaths to hair decorations.
I see this book as being a great tool for events management as well as all of us who just wish to cheer our doors with decoration. It has educated me - now I know which flowers I wish to grow in my garden, so I can dry them later on, extending their life as it were. Cheering us in winter.
As an artist, I also see dried flowers as a material to use within mixed media pieces I create.
