A Year of Quilting
A Block For Every Week

As a child, my mother began making me a crochet blanket….thirty years on, the pile of not-enough-yet squares lies in our families wooden chest. I live in hope that one day it will be finished….but when….what for? What will be the push? That is why this title appealed to me. I felt its message. No matter the reason or the love behind the project, sometimes if we do not have a deadline to work towards, good intentions are there but they just are not enough. That push…where will it come from? This book if you are quilt inclined. For every week of the year (that means that you need to complete it within the year mind) you will be guided through one part for the greater goal - a quilt which can become a part of your story, your narrative line.
Valid points:
There are bonus projects for all you swots who finish or would like to add an extra touch to the quilt.
The photos are really clear to show you how to create each weeks task.
Techniques are explained well, so it is suited for beginners. I can vouch for that because I do not have in depth quilt experience.
So for all of you who put off beginning, or who do indeed begin and lose heart - try to stick to this plan…maybe as a New Year goal?
